CHIA SEEDS - THE PERFECT BREAKFAST?

Chia seeds are high in fibre, protein as well as omega 3, providing a filling start to the day.

These seeds truly are fantastic. Due to their ability to absorb up to 10-12 times their weight in fluid, they become gel-like and expand in size, making them an excellent filling breakfast.

The coconut milk as well as nuts and seeds provide additional healthy fats and protein which help keep you fuller for longer and the raspberries are an excellent source of antioxidants and low GI carbohydrates.

CHIA SEED POT

Serves 3

¼ cup Chia seeds

1cup Dairy free milk (coconut /nut / oat)

120g Berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)

1tsp Raw / manuka honey (optional)

1tbsp Maca (optional)

1. Mix all ingredients in a blender

2. Let soak in fridge for at least 20 minutes, or even better overnight.

3. In the morning top with a few chopped nuts, seeds and berries.
