My Story

I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist and I gained my qualification after three years at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London.  I am also a fully qualified Functional Medicine practitioner which I gained at the world-renowned Institute for Functional Medicine.

Having worked in financial services for many years, I can relate to the detrimental effect that stressful and long working hours, strict deadlines, corporate entertainment and surviving on very little sleep and plenty of caffeine can have on our bodies.  After having reached exhaustion with weight gain, an autoimmune condition and hormonal imbalance as a result, I decided enough was enough and took charge of my own health.  With the help of nutritional therapy and a firm determination, I managed to turn my health around.

It was after this first hand experience of the amazing effects that nutritional therapy can have on health that I decided on a career change within the nutrition field.  I am also a qualified Massage Therapist as well as Reiki practitioner so am well versed in the importance of looking after body as well as mind and soul.

I  now combine nutrition with my other passions of healthy food and fitness.  My food interest started as far back as during my upbringing in a healthy and forward thinking Sweden and having been a competitive swimmer and still very much active in fitness, I can appreciate the importance of being active for a healthy life no matter what age.

In order to ensure continuous professional development and to be informed of the latest advances in Nutrition, I regularly attend postgraduate training, conferences and seminars on specialised health topics.

I am a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) as well as registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
